South Milwaukee Middle School a dynamic and energetic place. Our students experience an enormous amount of growth - physically, emotionally, and educationally. Our staff are experts on children in this age range and we offer a wide range of social and emotional supports. SMMS has a particular focus on community service. Each year we go out into the community and other schools and give back. While we're excited about what we can do for others, we're also building a sense of ownership and belonging. Eighth-grade health students celebrated being drug-free by wearing red and displaying projects like posters, red ribbons tied outside the school, and recording podcasts sharing what they've learned about the dangers of vaping and using drugs.
