South Milwaukee Middle School believes all families want their children to be successful in school. We also recognize families are a critical source of knowledge. South Milwaukee Middle School is looking for parents who are willing to partner with us to help create a learning environment where all students can succeed. 

The South Milwaukee Middle School Parent Advisory Council will work to:

  • identify common needs and goals among the parents/ guardians of students enrolled in SMMS and facilitate strategies for student success
  • provide the principal with feedback and insight from the parent’s perspective on school process, policies and initiatives to ensure that the needs of parents and their families are included as decisions are made
  • serve as an advisory group that makes recommendations, encourages brainstorming, and provides opportunities for parent involvement on committees
  • help families become aware of and use community resources that will help prepare every child to reach their full potential.
